...reading. On the other hand, the U.S. producer price index grew by 0.5% in March, faster than a 0.3% rise expected. Core PPI was up 0.2%, above prediction of a 0.1% increase. The market's focus is now turning to a weekend's meeting of Group of Seven finance ministers, who are expected to reiterate their previous warning about excess volatility in the exchange rates.
The Czech crown rose against the euro after news that the lower house of parliament overrode a presidential veto of the VAT law needed for a harmonisation of policy with the EU.
