March 8 (Reuters) - The Czech Statistical Bureau (CSU) released on Thursday the following consumer price data for February: CONSUMER INFLATION FEB 07 JAN 07 FEB 06 pct change month/month 0.3 1.0 0.1 pct change year/year 1.5 1.3 2.8 NOTE: The average rate of inflation over the past 12 months was 2.3 percent in February. The statistics office updated the basket of goods and services used to calculate the Consumer Price Index (CPI) as of January 2007, rebasing it to 2005 and raising the weight of housing as well as transport costs at the expense of foodstuffs. Analysts polled by Reuters had predicted that month-on-month consumer prices rose in February by 0.3 percent, which would have put the year-on-year inflation rate at 1.5 percent .
