CEZ traded at 4.1 percent lower at 831 crowns by 0834 GMT, having earlier slid as low as 823.20 crowns. The blue-chip Prague bourse index PX fell 2.9 percent as stock markets sold off globally.
The Finance Ministry said earlier economic ministers in the Czech government agreed to propose a floating the 7 percent CEZ stake, worth around $1.7 billion at current market prices, to the cabinet in the coming weeks.
