Slovakia revalued the central parity rate in the pre-euro ERM-2 mechanism by 8.5 percent on March 16.
Slovakia aims to adopt the euro in January 2009.
Sramko added that intervening in the foreign exchange market can be useful at times, but that it had only a temporary effect and could not alter long-term trends.
