March 30 (Reuters) - The Slovak central bank's (NBS) foreign
currency reserves jumped to $16.587 billion as of March 28 from
$14.771 billion...
...the previous week, the bank said on Friday.
The NBS did not give a reason for the rise, but it came
during the period when it intervened directly on the foreign

per euro .
Dealers have estimated the central bank had bought as much
as 2 billion euros.
The bank is expected to report the size of its interventions
after a board meeting on April 27.
