PRAGUE, April 12 (Reuters) - Workers at Volkswagen AG's Czech unit Skoda Auto rejected the company's final wage increase offer and plan...

...to strike on April 17, Czech Radio said on Thursday.

Skoda is the largest Czech company with sales of 203.7 billion crowns ($9.80 billion) last year, the country's largest exporter and a key customer of dozens of parts makers.

The management offered a 10 percent base wage rise after a series of talks, plus a rise in bonuses and other benefits raising overall pay by about 13 percent, but the unions have demanded more.

The April 17 strike was earmarked as a "warning" ahead of possible further labour action, the unions have said. Union officials were not immediately available for comment.
