Temelin said in a statement that damp had been detected on the generator during a weekend check-up and it would take about a week to dismantle the equipment, dry it, get the unit running again and re-connect it to the grid.
Temelin, which has two 1,000 megawatt units, restarted Unit 1 about 10 days ago after a fuel exchange and had originally been expected to link it to the national power grid by Sunday.
The station is the biggest asset of CEZ , central Europe's largest power utility and the most profitable Czech company.
