...detained in South Africa, a local news agency reported on Monday.
Radovan Krejcir, 38 and a wealthy Czech businessman, appeared in a Johannesburg court on Monday and will be held in custody until May 2, Sapa news agency reported.
Sapa quoted police spokeswoman Sally de Beer as saying Krejcir had been arrested at Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport on Saturday.
De Beer said police believed Krejcir had planned to move to South Africa after spending some time in the Seychelles.
Krejcir was arrested on an Interpol "red notice" which allows for an arrest and possible extradition, Sapa said.
De Beer said Krejcir was wanted on charges that date back to 2004.
As well as the fraud and murder charges, Krejcir was also wanted for illegal arms possession and tax evasion, according to Czech police.
