PRAGUE, April 26 (Reuters) - The Czech central bank (CNB) board voted 4-2 to hold interest rates steady on Thursday, CNB Governor Zdenek Tuma...

...said.

The two dissenters voted for a 25 basis point interest rate hike, he said.

He told a news conference the CNB's updated quarterly inflation projection implied that interest rates would gradually rise from the current key rate of 2.50 percent.

Markets have been betting the CNB will resume policy tightening with a 25 basis point interest rate increase by July, after 75 basis points of hikes between October 2005 and September 2006.
