The Slovak central bank (NBS) accepted all bids at its regular two-week repo tender on Monday, draining 157.7 billion crowns ($6.38 billion) from the market, NBS data showed.

SAMSUNG AIMS TO RAISE OUTPUT AT NEW SLOVAK PLANT

South Korea's Samsung Electronics said on Monday it aims to increase capacity at its new Slovak factory to 12 million flat screen televisions a year by 2012 from the 10-million target it has set.

HALF OF SLOVAKS WELCOME EURO

Almost half of Slovaks are in favour of euro adoption in 2009, an opinion poll showed. The poll by the private FOCUS agency showed that 49 percent of Slovaks welcome the euro, while 43 percent were against it.
