Icelandair to buy Czech airline Travel Service

Icelandic group Icelandair said on Friday it had agreed to buy the largest privately owned airline in the Czech Republic, Travel Service....

It said in a statement that the turnover of Travel Service in 2006 was 190 million euros ($256 million).

The Czech group, which also owns low cost airline Smart Wings, operated 12 Boeing 737-800 and 787-500 aircraft and carried more than 1.8 million passengers last year, it said.
