CSA DISCUSSES Q1 RESULTS

Czech Airlines' (CSA) Chief Executive Radomir Lasak is to hold a news conference at 0800 GMT to discuss the state-owned firm's first quarter results.

BRITISH MINISTER TO GIVE CLIMATE CHANGE LECTURE

UK Climate Change and Environment Minister Ian Pearson is to give a lecture entitled "The Challenge of Climate Change; or, a new Industrial Revolution" at 1515 GMT. This is part of a meeting of environment ministers from the so-called Visegrad Four on climate change. Pearson was invited to speak alongside the ministers from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

REGIONAL PRESIDENTS TO MEET

The heads of 18 central and East European countries are to arrive late on Thursday in the city of Brno for a summit on regional issues. The actual talks on issues begin on Friday and last until Saturday noon.

CENTRAL BANK TO MEET, NO MONETARY POLICY ITEMS SEEN

The Czech central bank (CNB) will hold a regular weekly meeting on Thursday, but no monetary policy items are on the agenda. Policy will next be discussed on May 31.
