MONETARY POLICY MEETING

The central bank will hold its monthly monetary policy meeting, 0700 GMT. The decision on rates expected between 0915-1100 GMT, news conference scheduled for 1100 GMT. Most analysts in a Reuters poll forecast the bank to keep the key two-week repo rate unchanged at 4.25 percent in May.

APRIL INTERVENTION VOLUME

The central bank will announce the volume of April interventions against the crown.

END-MARCH C/A

The central bank will publish preliminary current account data for end-March, by 1500 GMT.

END-FEB FOREIGN DEBT

The central bank will publish foreign debt data for end-February, by 1500 GMT.

REPO TENDER

The central bank will hold its regular two-week repo tender.

SPP 2006 RESULTS

The natural gas monopoly SPP will publish 2006 results, 0830 GMT.

SLOVAKIA SAYS NEAR FDI DEALS WORTH SKK 13 BLN

Slovakia will attract more foreign investment projects this year than in 2006, boosted by South Korea's Samsung Electronics and suppliers that the deal will attract, an investment agency official said on Monday.

SLOVAKIA SELLS SKK 1.16 BLN WORTH OF 5-YR BOND

Slovakia sold 1.16 billion crowns ($45.85 million) worth of 5-year, zero-coupon state bonds in an auction on Monday, the Finance Ministry's Debt and Liquidity Management Agency said.
