The Slovak central bank (NBS) accepted all bids in a regular two-week repo tender on Tuesday, draining 155.054 billion crowns ($6.17 billion) from the market.

MECIAR'S SECRET POLICE FILE

The former communist-era secret police (StB) had a file on Vladimir Meciar, the leader of the junior ruling coalition member HZDS, the state-run Nation's Memory Institute said.

It is not clear from the file what relationship Meciar, who is running for re-election as the party head this weekend, had with the StB.
