Excessive optimism about future growth in the Czech economy may undermine financial stability if workers demand more pay and consumers exploit low credit costs to take on more debt, the central bank (CNB) warned.

Central bank (CNB) board member Robert Holman he sees no significant inflation risks in the economy after the CNB hiked key interest rates in May by 25 basis points.
Holman told Reuters on the sidelines of a presentation of the CNB's annual financial stability report that he will wait to receive the central bank's monthly situation report on the economy at a June 28 board meeting before deciding on whether he favours another rate move.

BOND AUCTION
The Czech Finance Ministry will offer 7 billion crowns worth of 4.70 percent bonds due in 2022 at 1000 GMT.

The Prague airport may be sold next year and the government wants to raise 60-70 billion crowns in the process, Deputy Transport Minister Jiri Hodac said.

COMMUNIST POLICE SPIED ON KLAUS
The Communist secret police monitored phone calls and searched through the office of current President Vaclav Klaus while he was an economist in the central bank in the 1980s and organised unofficial economic seminars. One agent reported Klaus behaved like a disgruntled genius. Klaus said he had been aware his activities were monitored.
