BRATISLAVA, June 14 (Reuters) - Slovakia's EU-norm inflation
(HICP) was lower in May than the central bank (NBS) had
expected, but the rate...
...may rise in June, the NBS said on
Thursday.
Consumer prices were flat in May, month-on-month, putting
the annual inflation rate at a record low of 1.5 percent, the
Statistics Office said earlier on Thursday.
The NBS did not reveal its May inflation forecast, and it
did not comment on possible monetary policy implications.
"Annual inflation dynamics could accelerate in June,
compared with May, mainly due to expected developments with fuel
prices, while prices in other groups of the basic inflation
structure should stagnate on the annual basis," the NBS said.
