BRATISLAVA, June 20 (Reuters) - The Slovak Finance Ministry has revised its forecast of 2007 gross domestic product growth to 8.8 percent, from...

...a previous prediction of 8.1 percent annual rise, Deputy Finance Minister Frantisek Palko said on Wednesday.

The finance ministry expects economic growth to slow down to 6.8 percent in 2008, compared with a previous forecast of 5.6 percent growth, Palko wrote in a column in the daily Hosposdarske Noviny.

The latest forecasts, which have yet to be formally presented by the finance ministry, brought the 2007 economic growth estimate close to the central bank prediction of 8.9 percent real rise.
