Tests confirmed the H5N1 type of bird flu virus in poultry
at two farms in the eastern Czech Republic, the State Veterinary
Authority (SVS) said.
The virus was found at farms with 71,000 poultry, bringing
the number of outbreaks at Czech farms to four.

percent jump.

TEMELIN ON LINE: The nuclear power station Temelin, the
Czech Republic's biggest power plant, connected its 1,000
megawatt Unit 2 to the power grid, ending about a two-month

PRAGUE LOSES SHINE IN FILM INDUSTRY: Hollywood producers are
losing interest in shooting films in Prague and are looking for
cheaper locations. The volume of foreign film production has
dropped to 1.4 billion crowns last year from over 5 billion in
