    CEZ IN BULGARIA: Bulgaria's state utility NETC invited six 
European utilities to file initial bids for a 49 percent stake 
in a 4.0 billion euro ($5.52 billion) nuclear power plant that 
Bulgaria is building. The firms, including CEZ , 
should file their offers by Oct. 1.

    BREWER BUDVAR'S PRIVATISATION: The Agriculture Ministry 
should select an advisor to help it with the transformation of 
Budejovicky Budvar into a joint stock firm within three months.

    INVESTMENT: The Czech Republic placed fourth among the top 
20 developing markets in terms of attractiveness for foreign 
investments, based on the PricewaterhouseCoopers index. The 
ranking is led by the United Arab Emirates, followed by Saudi 
Arabia and South Korea. The Czech Republic placed 17th in the 
production segment.
