...a re-vote was held due to a mis-vote in the first round by one deputy.
The centre-right government had staked its future on the reforms, aimed at overhauling the EU member's public purse in an attempt to reverse the trend of a widening fiscal deficit, even though it has just 100 out of 200 seats in the lower house.
Some opposition leftist deputies voted with the government, as expected, to allow the reform package to pass with 101 in favour, and 99 against. In the first vote, 102 ballots were cast approving the reforms to 98 against.
