    STATE BOND AUCTION 
    The finance ministry's Debt and Liquidity Management Agency 
(ARDAL) will auction 3-year, zero-coupon state bonds. 
     
    ORANGE NEWS CONFERENCE 
    Slovakia's largest mobile phone operator, the unit of French 
Orange , will hold a news conference, 0800 GMT. 
     
    SLOVAKIA TO PAY BACK $101 MLN TO ITALY'S ENEL-PAPER 
    Slovakia has to pay compensation of 2.5 billion crowns 
($101.5 million) to ENEL  because the Italian power 
company overpaid when it bought 66 percent of Slovenske 
Elektrarne (SE) in 2006, a newspaper reported on Friday.

    CBANK FOREX RESERVES RISE TO $17.8 BLN 
    The Slovak central bank's (NBS) foreign currency reserves 
edged up to $17.847 billion as of Aug. 28 from $17.695 billion a 
week ago, the bank said on Friday.

    CROWN SOFTER AFTER BERNANKE, LACKS TREND 
    The Slovak crown inched weaker against the euro on Friday 
alongside bigger regional peers, following a speech by U.S. 
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke which boosted the dollar 
and pushed investors to unwind carry trades.

    BUS CRASH 
    News agency reports said six people died and 34 were injured 
in a bus crash in central Slovakia on Sunday night. Police have 
initially confirmed four dead.

    SKY EUROPE TO LEAVE BUDAPEST, KRAKOW 
    The Slovakia-based low-cost airline, SkyEurope , 
will stop operating flights to and from Hungary's capital 
Budapest and Polish town of Krakow from Oct. 27, due to 
unfavourable market conditions.

    HIGHWAY PROJECTS 
    Slovakia should start building 140 kilometres of highways 
and speedways, financed through the public-private partnership 
projects (PPP), in spring 2008. The government is expected to 
debate the timeframe and details of the plan on Wednesday.

    SLOVAK TELECOM TO INVEST $81 MLN 
    Slovakia's fixed-line operator Slovak Telecom, managed by 
Germany's Deutsche Telekom , said it planned to invest 
2 billions crowns ($81.10 million) in the second half of 2007
