    The central bank will hold a regular two-week, 
liquidity-draining, repo tender. 
     
    SLOVAKIA SELLS SKK 1 BLN WORTH OF 3-YR BOND 
    Slovakia sold 1.033 billion crowns ($41.89 million) worth of 
3-year, zero-coupon state bonds  in an auction on 
Monday, the Finance Ministry's Debt and Liquidity Management 
Agency said.

    JAN-AUG STATE BUDGET SURPLUS SKK 0.40 BLN 
    The Slovak central state budget showed a surplus of 0.40 
billion crowns ($16.22 million) for January-August, compared 
with a 5.72 billion crown deficit in the January-August 2006, 
the finance ministry said on Monday.
