- Analysts surveyed by Reuters had expected industrial
output to have risen by 12.3 percent on an annual basis in July
.
- Manufacturing production, which has the strongest weighting in
the index, rises 15.4 percent on the year in July, after a
revised 15.8 percent increase in the previous month.
- Mining rises by 290.9 percent, after 2.3 percent growth in
July.
- Production and distribution of electricity, gas and water
falls 7.2 percent, compared with a 14.9 percent drop in June.
- Within manufacturing output, car production rises by 48.6
percent from a year ago, after a 71.3 percent growth in
June.
- The automotive industry is the main driver of Slovakia's
economy.
