JULY RETAIL SALES
The Statistics Office will release July retail sales data,
0700 GMT. Analysts had forecast a rise of 7.2 percent
year-on-year in July.
RULING COALITION MEETING
Leaders of the three ruling coalition parties will meet to
debate the 2008 state budget draft, agenda of the next
parliament session and other political issues, 0800 GMT.
JULY INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT ABOVE FCAST
Slovak industrial output rose by a real 18.9 percent
year-on-year in July, accelerating from a revised 12.2 percent
growth rate in June, the Slovak Statistics Office said on

Slovak construction output rose by a real 4.8 percent
year-on-year in July after 1.7 percent annual growth in June,

CBANK FOREX RESERVES DIP TO $17.78 BLN
The Slovak central bank's (NBS) foreign currency reserves
edged down to $17.780 billion as of Sept. 5 from $17.847 billion
