CURRENT ACCOUNT SHRINKS: The current account deficit showed
a much smaller-than-expected deficit in July, thanks to a sharp
narrowing of dividend payments abroad.

PRIVATISATION: The cabinet approved a plan on Wednesday to
convert the state-owned Prague Airport into a joint stock
company and then sell or lease it.
The cabinet also vowed to go ahead with preparations for the
eventual sale of air carrier Czech Airlines (CSA), following the
completion of a restructuring programme at the company.

AIRLINE RESULTS: State-owned Czech Airlines hold a news
conference on first half results and a decision on the future of
long-distance services. The airline is being prepared for
privatisation.
AIRPLANE ORDER: CSA said on Wednesday it would exercise an
option to purchase 8 mid-range Airbus 319 and 320 aircraft, with
delivery seen in 2011 or 2012.

C.BANKER CONCERNED BY WAGES:- Czech companies are beginning
to overpay workers because of labour shortages, central bank
board member Pavel Rezabek said, news agency CTK reported.
