LONDON, Sept 14 (Reuters) - The Czech Republic is considering issuing a 50-year, fixed-coupon, local currency bond this year to cater to...

...investor demand for ultra-long paper, the Finance Ministry said in a letter sent to primary dealers on Friday.

The letter, obtained by Reuters from a market participant, said the ministry would offer the paper via a special auction with no pre-set limit for the borrowing volume and the coupon payment.

The letter asks investors to respond with details of how many of the bonds they would like to buy and an estimate of the appropriate yield for the proposed new paper which would replace the previously-issued 30-year bond as the longest-dated Czech government note.

It said the ministry would launch the offering by mid-November at the latest if it received positive feedback.

Officials at the ministry's state debt management unit had no comment.
