    The Labour Office will publish August jobless data. (0800

    The central bank will hold a regular two-week repo tender to 
drain money market liquidity, by 1000 GMT. 
     
    PM FICO NEWS CONFERENCE 
    Prime Minister Robert Fico will hold a news conference after 
meeting the heads of regional authorities on their 2008 budgets.

    SLOVAKIA REJECTS ALL BIDS IN 19-YR BOND AUCTION 
    The Slovak Finance Ministry rejected all bids in an auction 
of 19-year, 4.5 percent state bonds on Monday, the Debt and 
Liquidity Management Agency said.

    SMER KEEPS LEAD IN POLL 
    The Smer party of Prime Minister Robert Fico maintained its 
popularity lead and registered 39.1 percent support in a 
Statistics Office opinion poll in August. Fico's coalition 
partner, the far-right Slovak National Party (SNS) was second in 
the poll, with 13.1 percent.

    VIRTUAL MOBILE NETWORK 
    The private equity group Penta will postpone its entry in 
the Polish telecommunication market as a virtual mobile network 
services provider until the fourth quarter of 2007. Penta is 
also considering operating a virtual mobile phone network in 
Slovakia.
