...1,000 MW Unit 1 on Sunday, the nuclear plant's owner CEZ said.

It said it was halting the second bloc for a regular test of its regulatory systems and wanted to renew electricity supplies on Saturday night. It would disconnect the first reactor from the grid on Sunday morning for 10 hours for a planned repair.

CEZ operates two 1,000-megawatt reactors at Temelin, which is located near the Austrian border in south of the country.

Temelin is the biggest asset of state-owned CEZ and accounts for 16 percent of CEZ's installed domestic capacity.
