    The central bank (NBS) holds its monthly monetary policy 
meeting. The bank is expected to leave key rates on hold. The 
news conference scheduled for 1200 GMT. 
    The central bank will also publish the quarterly update of 
its economic outlook. 
     
    C.BANK TO HOLD REGULAR 2-WK REPO TENDER 
    The central bank holds regular two-week repo tender. No set 
time for the results. 
     
    JAN-AUGUST CURRENT ACCOUNT DATA 
    The central bank will publish current account data for 
January-August. No set time for the release. 
     
    END-JULY FOREIGN DEBT DATA 
    The central bank will release foreign debt data for 
end-July. No set time for the release. 
     
    MACEDONIAN MILOSOSKI VISITS SLOVAKIA 
    Macedonian foreign minister Antonio Milososki on a visit to 
Slovakia. 
     
    SLOVAKIA REJECTS ALL BIDS IN 12-YR BOND AUCTION 
    Slovakia rejected all bids in an auction of 12-year, 5.3 
percent bonds  on Monday, which traders said was a 
sign favourable budget trends have eased pressure on the 
government to raise fresh funds.

    CROWN TOUCHES 3-MO HIGH VS EURO, EYES FED 
    The Slovak crown touched a three-month high against the euro 
on Thursday as players tried to break a key 33.200 level ahead 
of interest rate meetings in Slovakia and the United States 
later this week, dealers said.
