ANALYST COMMENTARY:
SILVIA CECHOVICOVA, ANALYST, CSOB BANK, BRATISLAVA
"Industrial production picked up after the holiday season at
the largest exporters ended, and this is mainly seen in figures
for transportation vehicles, which accelerated again.
"Other important sectors, such as machine and electronic
industries, rose faster as well.
"I think the numbers will remain good in the coming months.
On the other hand, we should keep in mind there was quite a high
base from last year, especially in the category of
transportation vehicles. But growth should still remain in
double digits.
"We can probably expect good foreign trade numbers
tomorrow."

    MARKET REACTION:
The Slovak crown showed no reaction to the data,
trading flat at 33.180 per euro.
