    PM URGES EUROSTAT TO MAKE FISCAL RULING 
    Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico urged Eurostat on Friday 
to decide precisely what it wanted included in public finance 
calculations as he needs to adjust budget spending plans.

    Turmoil on financial markets may have further to run and the

on Friday.

    CBANK FOREX RESERVES RISE TO $18.99 BLN 
    The Slovak central bank's (NBS) foreign currency reserves 
edged up to $18.987 billion as of November 14, from $18.947

    HIGHWAY TENDERS 
    Slovakia's Transport and Telecommunication Ministry kicked 
off tenders on Saturday to pick a provider for public private 
partnership projects for building the country's highways and 
speedways. Bidders are expected to deliver letters of interest 
by January 8.

    SUZUKI CONSIDERS BOOSTING HUNGARY INVESTMENT 
    Japan's Suzuki Motor Corp.  expects to boost car 
production at its Hungary's plant to 300,000 unit in 2007, the 
assembly plant's full capacity, from 230,000 planned for this 
year. The car maker also consider to build a car engine plant or 
boost its production capacity at its plant in Ostrihom.

    MEDIA DRAFT LAW 
    Slovakia's media and publishers criticised the new draft law 
designed to alter the editorial standards at media and 
newspapers, and said they are considering an appeal with the 
Consitutional Court of Slovakia. They will also consult with 
international bodies.
