    In dollar terms, reserves rose to $34.49 billion from a 
$33.35 billion, the bank said. The CNB holds more than half of 
its foreign exchange reserves in euros and slightly more than a 
third in the U.S. dollars. The rest is comprised of British 
pounds and Japanese yen.

    NOTE. The central bank said it sold foreign currency worth 
an equivalent of 69 million euros in spot foreign exchange 
market operations in October. 
    It bought foreign currency worth 37.52 million euros in 
client operations in October.
