Czech crown breaks 26.0 vs euro for first time

The Czech crown rose to the stronger side of 26.0 per euro for the first time on Monday, following data showing a jump in inflation which...

...boosted expectations of further interest rate increases.

The crown rose half a percent on the day to an all-time high of 25.975 per euro by 0943 GMT. Earlier in the session it went beyond the previous peak of 26.070 set last week .

Annual inflation jumped to a six-year high of 5.0 percent from 4.0 percent a month earlier [ID:nL10470437]. (Reporting by Marek Petrus; editing by David Stamp)
