    The central bank (NBS) will hold its regular two-week repo 
tender. 
     
    GDP GROWTH SEEN SLOWING TO 6.6 PCT IN Q3 
    Slovak economic growth probably eased a touch in the third 
quarter of this year, a Reuters poll showed on Monday, but is 
expected to remain robust enough to sustain expectations of 
further interest rate rises.

    CROWN FIRMS TO NEAR RECORD HIGHS VS EURO 
    The Slovak crown firmed 0.4 percent against the euro on 
Monday, nearing last week's record highs, and dealers expected 
the unit to attack the key 36.0 level in the coming days.

    GROWTH TO RISE IN EUROPE'S TRANSITION ECONOMIES-EBRD 
    Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union will see growth 
increase in 2006 driven mainly by domestic demand, but risks of 
rising inflation and slipping foreign direct investment pose 
challenges, the EBRD said on Monday.

    BRUSSELS FINES 5 EU COUNTRIES FOR SUGAR STOCKPILES 
    The European Commission fined five EU countries, including 
Slovakia, a total of 57 million euros ($73.3 million) on Monday 
for past stockpiling of sugar.

    The leftist government plans to assign 2.7 billion crowns

reserve totals 3.3 billion crowns.
