    BRATISLAVA, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press 
reports and events to watch which may affect Slovak financial 
markets on Tuesday. 
     
    AUG INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT DATA 
    The Statistics Office will release August retail sales data. 
The markets have expected retail sales to have risen by 8.0 
percent year-on-year in August (0700 GMT). 
     
    AUG INDUSTRIAL WAGES DATA 
    The Statistics Office will release August average industrial 
wage data (0700 GMT). 
     
    C.BANK TO HOLD REGULAR 2-WK REPO TENDER 
    The central bank to hold a regular two-week repo tender. 
     
    CROWN NEARS 7-MO HIGH VS EURO, SEEN FIRMER 
    The Slovak crown <EURSKK=> traded near seven-month highs 
against the euro on Monday, and dealers said the currency might 
firm in the short run if regional sentiment improves.

    INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT PICKS UP IN AUGUST 
    Slovak industrial output rose accelerated sharply in August, 
driven by a surge in car production with analysts expecting the 
positive trend to continue as further car capacity goes on-line.

    AUG INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT +13.7 PCT YR/YR 
    Slovak industrial output rose by a real 13.7 percent 
year-on-year in August, up from 8.3 percent growth in July, the 
Slovak Statistics Office said on Monday.

    The future development of Bratislava airports, the country's 
biggest airfield, remains in doubt as the government has not 
decided how to fund the planned expansion. Cabinet cancelled a 
tender for the airport in August. The tender was won by a group 
led by Vienna airport operator Flughafen Wien <VIEV.VI>.
