BRATISLAVA, Oct 10 (Reuters) - The 2007 Slovak draft budget sees the overall public sector deficit at 2.9 percent of gross domestic product, a Finance Ministry spokesman said on Tuesday.
The daily Hospodarske Noviny, quoting a leaked copy of the draft budget, reported on Tuesday that the central government deficit would be 32.2 billion crowns ($1.09 billion), or 2.94 percent of GDP.
A spokesman for the finance ministry would only confirm the wider public sector gap target, a key euro adoption criteria. Slovakia hopes to join the euro zone in 2009.
