MINISTER ON PENSION REFORM
Labour and Social Affairs Minister Petr Necas speaks at a news conference on pension reform plans at 12:30 p.m. (1030 GMT).
INFLATION LOWER THAN EXPECTED
Consumer prices posted a sharper than expected drop in September from August, easing pressure on the central bank (CNB) to keep tightening policy quickly to restrain demand in the booming economy.

DEBT ISSUANCE MAY RISE
The Finance Ministry will consider returning to foreign bond markets or increasing local currency debt issuance before the year-end to meet unplanned payments.

The Czech Republic's gross central government debt rose to 746.3 billion crowns ($33.35 billion) at the end of September from 728.9 billion crowns at the end of June.
PRESIDENT TO START POLITICAL TALKS
President Vaclav Klaus will start political talks on Thursday, inviting leaders of all five parliamentary parties and their delegations to the Prague Castle, newspapers report.
Klaus is expected to try and broker a deal between parties on an early election to break a parliamentary deadlock caused by an inconclusive election in June.
FOOD PRICES TO RISE
The price of bread and other baked goods will increase sharply in January due to more expensive imports of rye flour after this year's poor harvest, writes the daily Lidove Noviny. The Agrarian Chamber said baked good prices will increase by an average of 20 percent, the daily reports.
