    BRATISLAVA, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press

    C.BANK CHIEFS TO SPEAK AT EURO CONFERENCE 
    Finland's and Slovakia's central bank chiefs will address an 
economic conference on euro adoption (0800 GMT). 
     
    C.BANK TO RELEASE WEEKLY FOREX RESERVES DATA 
    The central bank will release forex reserves data for the 
past week (1200 GMT). 
     
    SLOVAKIA SAYS MULLING 20 YR EUROBOND IN 2007 
    Slovakia plans to try to sell a 20-year eurobond next year 
as part of its foreign borrowing strategy aimed at preparing for 
euro adoption, the state-run debt management agency said on 
Thursday.

    GOVT PARTY OPPOSES TAX CHANGES-PAPER 
    Vladimir Meciar, leader of the junior governing coalition 
partner HZDS, will not support planned changes to the tax law, a 
key component of the government's 2007 budget, a newspaper 
reported on Thursday.

    MINISTER TO DISCUSS POSSIBLE T-MOBILE SALE 
    Slovakia would like phone company Slovak Telekom, in which 
it has a minority stake, to sell its mobile phone unit T-Mobile 
Slovensko, Transport Minister Lubomir Vazny said on Thursday.

    CROWN CLIMBS TO RECORD HIGH, MORE GAINS SEEN 
    The Slovak crown <EURSKK=> climbed to a record peak against 
the euro on Thursday, fuelled by a strong economy, a ratings 
upgrade and a rally in regional markets, dealers said.

    RECORD FINE FOR CONSTRUCTION FIRMS 
    The Antimonopoly Office is expected to confirm on Friday a 
record fine for six construction firms for colluding on bids in 
a highway tender. The competition watchdog initially ruled in 
January to fine the construction companies with a total sum of 
1.47 billion crowns ($50.46 million).

    AGRICULTURE MINISTER CLASHES WITH BANKS 
    Agriculture Minister Miroslav Jurena has called on farmers 
to boycot ING Bank's Slovak branch and local Tatra Banka due to 
critical comments on farm subsidies made by the two banks' 
analysts, the daily Pravda reports.
