PRAGUE, Oct 25 (Reuters) - The Czech right-wing government will not try to win over a defector from the caucus of the left-wing opposition Social Democrats, Deputy Prime Minister Petr Necas told Reuters on Wednesday.

Social Democrat deputy Michal Pohanka quit his party on Wednesday, a potentially powerful step given that both right and left-wing camps have exactly 100 seats each in parliament.

Necas said the ruling Civic Democrats, whose cabinet lost a confidence vote earlier this month, remain firm on their demands for holding an early election and would not try to form a new cabinet with the help of any defectors.
