    MARIA VALACHYOVA, ANALYST, SLOVENSKA SPORITELNA
"The structure of growth will probably remain the same,
which means mainly domestic demand. Within the domestic demand,
there should be growth in household consumption and investments.
A change in inventories may have also added to growth more than
we expected."

the euro after the data were released, from 35.780 at the open.

 BACKGROUND
- The third-quarter figure showed the fastest Slovak GDP growth
ever.
- Slovakia has been has been showing one of the highest growth
rates in the European Union since it joined the union in 2004.
- GDP growth has been helped by reviving domestic demand as
households consumption rises after years of belt-tightening
reforms.
- Investments have also increased in the past year, mainly
thanks to large project such as car factories of French PSA
Peugeot <PEUP.PA> and South Korean Kia Motors <000270.KS>.
