Slovene HSE bids highest for Bulgaria power plant

SOFIA, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Slovenia's Holding Slovenske Elektrarne made the highest bid of 85.1 million euros ($109 million) to buy a 400-megawatt thermal power plant at the Danube River city of Rousse, Bulgaria's privatisation agency said on Friday.

The second best offer came from Dalkia International, a unit of Veolia Environment <VIE.PA>, which bid 51.0 million euros. Germany's E.ON <EONG.DE> bid 29.1 million. The fourth short-listed company, Czech CEZ <CEZPSP.PR>, did not bid.
