POLITICAL TALKS CONTINUE
Rightist Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek meets leftist Social Democrats and leaders of the Green Party for talks on a new government that could win a confidence vote in a lower house of parliament deadlocked by leftist and centre-right blocs.
Topolanek meets Social Democrat leader Jiri Paroubek at 9 a.m. (0800 GMT). News briefing is due to follow.

Topolanek's Civic Democrats have markedly increased their lead over the leftist Social Democrats as the country struggles through a parliamentary crisis that resulted from an inconclusive election, a poll showed.

EARNINGS POLL: CEZ TO POST 62 PCT PROFIT JUMP
Central Europe's largest utility group, CEZ <CEZPsp.PR>, is expected to post a 62 percent jump in third-quarter net profit due to rising electricity prices and foreign acquisitions, a Reuters poll showed.
