    BRATISLAVA, Nov 22 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press 
reports and events to watch which may affect Slovak financial 
markets on Wednesday. 
     
    ECB'S LIEBSCHER, SLOVAK C.BANK GOV TO SPEAK AT CONFERENCE 
    ECB's governing council member Klaus Liebscher and Slovak 
central bank governor Ivan Sramko will speak at a conference on 
euro adoption (1700 GMT). 
     
    REGULAR GOVERNMENT MEETING 
    The government will hold its regular weekly meeting (0800 
GMT). 
     
    RULING COALITION LEADERS TO MEET 
    Leaders of the three ruling coalition parties will hold a 
meeting (1500 GMT). 
     
    DEP FINMIN SAYS HIGHER GDP MAY CUT DEFICIT 
    Higher than expected GDP growth in 2006 could lead to a 
fiscal deficit below the ministry's 2.5 percent of GDP forecast, 
Slovak Deputy Finance Minister Frantisek Palko said on Tuesday.

    SLOVAKIA HOPES TO LURE MORE SAMSUNG INVESTMENT 
    Slovakia is hoping Samsung Electronics' <005930.KS> large 
presence in the country will entice the South Korean company to 
build another plant there, a government official said on 
Tuesday.

    CROWN AT RECORD HIGHS, MORE GAINS LIKELY 
    The Slovak crown continued firming on Tuesday and touched a 
record high against the euro, driven by bullish sentiment on 
regional markets with dealers predicting more gains in the short 
run.

    ENERGY DISTRIBUTOR SUES REGULATOR OVER FEES 
    Slovak energy distributor Zapadoslovenska Energetika (ZSE) 
said on Tuesday it had filed a lawsuit against the Slovak 
Utilities Regulator (URSO) over proposed electricity 
distribution fees.

    C.BANK REPO DRAINS SKK 172 BLN FROM MARKET 
    The Slovak central bank (NBS) accepted all bids at its 
regular two-week repo tender on Tuesday, draining 172.357 
billion crowns ($6.22 billion) from the money market, NBS data 
showed.

    YUKOS QUESTIONS TRANSPETROL'S BOARD CHANGES 
    YUKOS Finance, a Dutch unit of the bankrupt Russian oil firm 
YUKOS, has questioned the legitimacy of Transpetrol's general 
meeting, as it had lost its control over the Slovak oil pipeline 
operator to a Russian receiver of YUKOS' assets.

    ANALYSTS SEE STRONGER CROWN 
    Analysts forecast the crown to firm to around 36.0 per euro 
by the end of 2006, and they expect the unit to continue 
strengthening in 2007 to around 35.0 per euro at the end of the 
year.
