    BRATISLAVA, Nov 21 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press

    C.BANK REPO TENDER 
    The central bank will hold its regular two-week repo tender. 
     
    PM VISITS PORTUGAL 
    Prime Minister Robert Fico on a two-day visit to Portugal. 
     
    PARLIAMENT COMMITTEES START BUDGET DEBATE 
    Parliamentary committees will open debates on individual 
chapters of the 2007 state budget draft. The key finance and 
budget committee will summarise amendments and comments from 
others committees on Dec 1. 
     
    CROWN HITS RECORD, MAY WEAKEN BEFORE YR-END 
    The Slovak crown firmed to a record high to the euro on 
Monday, and dealers said the unit could extend its gains in the 
coming days before investors book their profits near the end of 
the year.

    ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTOR SUES STATE REGULATOR 
    Energy distributor Zapadoslovenska Energetika (ZSE), managed 
by Germany's E.ON <EONG.DE>, has sued the state regulator on 
electricity distribution fees.

    NEW ENERGY TAXES 
    Slovakia will introduce new energy taxes in 2007 on coal, 
electricity and natural gas, to comply with European Union 
requirements. The finance ministry does not expect the new taxes 
to increase energy prices markedly.

    YOKOS FINANCE LOOSES CONTROL IN TRANSPETROL 
    YUKOS Finance, a Dutch unit of the bankrupt oil firm YUKOS, 
has lost its control in Slovakia's oil pipeline operator 
Transpetrol to a Russian receiver of YUKOS' assets. Slovakia 
aims to buy-back YUKOS' 49 percent stake in Transpetrol.

    PRICES OF POTATOES UP 
    Prices of potatoes rose by 123 percent year-on-year in 
October and Slovak farmers expected a further 10 percent 
increase in the second half of November.
