Growth in manufacturing activity recovered from a 9-month low in November, a survey showed, raising the chances of sustained expansion in the European Union member's economy.

The central state budget slipped into a 30.92 billion crown ($1.47 billion) deficit for January-November, following the worst result since April.

The Czech Republic will consider returning to international debt markets in 2007 to curb local currency bond borrowing and help fund a deepening fiscal gap, the government said.

CEZ BIDS IN KOSOVO

INTEREST RATES ON HOLD

The Czech central bank (CNB) left interest rates unchanged on Thursday and sent a clear signal it could keep borrowing costs at the lowest level in the European Union into next year after a sharp drop in inflation.

POLL: ECONOMY TO SLOW, INFLATION TO TICK HIGHER

The Czech economy is forecast to have grown at a 5.2 percent clip in the third quarter, deepening the slowdown from its cycle peak early this year, a Reuters poll showed.

Inflation is forecast to tick up to 1.5 percent in November from a near 1-1/2-year low of 1.3 percent in October. The jobless rate is seen dipping to 7.3 percent from 7.4 percent a month earlier.
