    BRATISLAVA, Dec 6 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press 
reports and events to watch which may affect Slovak financial 
markets on Wednesday. 
     
    MPS CONTINUE DEBATING BUDGET DRAFT 
    Parliament will continue to debate the 2007 state budget 
draft. The assembly is expected to vote on the bill on Friday. 
     
    GOVERNMENT HOLDS WEEKLY MEETING 
    The government holds its regular weekly meeting. Ministers 
are expected to debate financing of regional development from 
European Union's structural funds and incentives totalling 1.5 
billion crowns ($56.24 million) for foreign investors. 
     
    OECD CHIEF ECONOMIST IN SLOVAKIA 
    OECD chief economist Jean-Philippe Cotis is expected to hold 
a speech on Slovakia's economy policy in Bratislava. 
     
    TELEFONICA'S NEWS CONFERENCE 
    Spain's phone operator Telefonica <TEF.MC> holds a news 
conference on its plans on the Slovak market. 
     
    SLOVAK MPs SEE 2007 BUDGET VOTE ON FRIDAY 
    The Slovak parliament should vote on Friday on the 2007 
state budget that is key for the country's plan to adopt the 
euro in 2009, parliamentary Chairman Pavol Paska said on 
Tuesday.

    SLOVAK NOV INFLATION SEEN REBOUNDING FROM 1-YR LOW 
    Slovak inflation probably rebounded from a one-year low in 
November, but the central bank (NBS) should keep rates on hold 
this month due to an improved inflation outlook, a Reuters poll 
showed on Tuesday.

    SLOVAK C.BANK REPO DRAINS SKK 160 BLN FROM MARKET 
    The Slovak central bank (NBS) accepted all bids at its 
regular two-week repo tender on Tuesday, draining 159.978 
billion crowns ($6.0 billion) from the money market, NBS data 
showed.

    SOUTH KOREAN FIRM TO INVEST $4.5 MLN IN SLOVAKIA 
    South Korea's firm Hanil Foam Chemical plans to invest $4.5 
million in south-western Slovakia into a plant, which should 
supply packings mainly for the world's biggest LCD maker Samsung 
Electronics.

    TRANSPORT MIN PREFERS SHORTER BAN FOR CONSTRUCTION FIRMS 
    Seven construction firms should be banned from government 
contracts only for one year rather than five, Slovak Transport 
Minister Lubomir Vazny said. The firms were levied a record fine 
of $47 million in October for colluding bids in a highway 
tender.
