    The Slovak central bank's (NBS) monetary policy making Bank Board usually 
holds a policy meeting on the last Tuesday of every month. The board may change 
the date of its policy meetings.

    The Slovak Labour Office releases monthly unemployment figures around the 
15th of each month.

    The ministry also said it might buy back or exchange three-year bonds 
maturing on Jan. 14, 2007, in auctions scheduled for Oct. 10, Oct. 16, Nov. 5, 
Nov. 13, Dec. 4, Dec 11.
