GOVERNMENT MEETS ON BUDGET

The Government is holding an extraordinary session to discuss the 2007 state budget draft and the government's manifesto. A news conference is expected at 1400 GMT. On Sunday, Finance Minister Vlastimil Tlusty said the proposed deficit would be 119 billion crowns, above the target set out in the country's euro convergence programme.

DIGITAL LICENCE HOLDERS TO SPEAK

Digital TV operators plan to hold a news conference to discuss the cancellations of licences they were awarded at 0900 GMT.

TERROR ALERT RAISED

The Czech government on Saturday raised security in the capital Prague after information of an increased threat of a terrorist attack. The heightened state of alert is expected to last around a week. No specifics on the actual threat were given.
