PRAGUE, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press reports and events to watch which may affect Czech financial markets on Monday:

INFLATION DATA

September inflation and unemployment data are due out at 9 a.m. (0700 GMT).

The finance ministry is expected to release data on third-quarter government debt duration at around 2 p.m. (1200 GMT).

NEW PM SELECTION TO BE DELAYED

President Vaclav Klaus reiterated on Friday that he would not name a new prime minister until the end of the month at the earliest, following local and Senate elections.

Klaus and leadership of the Civic Democrat Party (ODS) have begun looking for a non-aligned prime minister capable of garnering support and leading the country to early elections, writes the daily Lidove Noviny (page 1).

One possible name is Jan Strasky, former Prime Minister of Czechoslovakia, the daily reports.

CEZ ISSUES BOND

CEZ <CEZPsp.PR>, the Czech power utility, sold 500 million euros ($636 million) of seven-year bonds on Friday, in its biggest sale of foreign-denominated debt to date.
