TABLE-Czech Sept CPI down 0.7 pct m/m, 2.7 pct y/y

    Oct 9 (Reuters) - The Czech Statistical Bureau (CSU) 
released on Monday the following consumer price data for 
September: 
     
CONSUMER INFLATION             SEPT 06       AUG 06     SEPG 05 
 pct change month/month         -0.7          0.2        -0.3 
 pct change year/year            2.7          3.1         2.2 
  
    NOTE: The statistics office added the average rate of 
inflation over the past 12 months was 2.8 percent. 
    Analysts polled by Reuters had predicted that month-on-month 
consumer prices dipped in September by 0.5 percent, which would 
have put the year-on-year inflation rate at 2.9 percent 
<CZ/ECON04> <CZ/ECON15>.
